How about a little kindness?

I just learned how to embed videos into this blog! Here is a video that folks in my workshops and yoga class have seen.

Kindness!  It comes around! Whatever we give comes back to us…without us even asking for it! Enjoy! Offer a bit of kindness today — to yourself, a stranger, a dear one.

I often notice (with my own self and with clients/students) that we are great at offering kindness to others, especially strangers. But what about offering ourselves that kind of kindness? What about starting closer to home — offering kind words, looks, and touches to our spouse at home from whom we might be a estranged? What about our children? So here’s to offering some kindness to the dear ones in our lives.

Want some tips for giving yourself a dose of self-compassion?

Thank YOU, Patience, for following the whispers (and sometimes ‘shouts’!, no?!) of the Divine within you to offer kindness to the world and encourage others to do the same. “Delight” is one of my dear words (along w/ compassion and community). Delight and kindness go hand-in-hand! Love to be alongside you in this journey. Lisa

    Thank you for this post.
Being kind not only makes the other feel better, but it makes me feel good and happy with myself

Nikky, what’s really funny is a colleague and I were juuuust talking about this! How being kind FEELS good to the person who is offering the kindness! We get oxytocin running through us (the “connecting” hormone) and we feel all warm, fuzzy, and connected. Thanks, Nikky for your comment!
